Two Ingredient Bagels

These bagels are delicious and good for you especially because they are calling for two main ingredients: bread flour and yogurt!

Dough:
1 cup Extra White Gold Cup to Cup Bread Flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup Greek yogurt (not fat free)
1/8 teaspoon salt

1 egg (egg wash)

Toppings:(optional)

1/4 cup shredded cheese
3 tablespoons seeds
4 tablespoons dry onion/ garlic flakes
Sea salt

  1. To make the dough:
In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients until a nice smooth dough consistency..

  2. Preheat the oven to 390°F. Divide the dough into 4-6 pieces. Working with one piece of dough at a time, shape it into a ball on a GF floured surface. Poke a hole through the center with your index finger, and twirl; the dough will form a ring.
  3. Brush bagels with an egg wash and sprinkle toppings.

  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Remove them from the oven, and cool them on a rack.

  5. Serve bagels warm or at room temperature. Store at room temperature, well wrapped, for one day; freeze for longer storage.

I made these bagels and they came out great! You do not need to boil them first! They have a different recipe for this kind of bagel.

Do you believe that the 2 ingredient bagels could be boiled first and then baked to give them the chewier consistency?
