Amish White Bread

Don't loose this recipe. The bread has a soft texture and golden color. It is easy to make and wonderful as a sandwich bread.
You store in the refrigerator, wrapped for 3 days or, freeze.

 

Ingredients for 1 bread loaf

1 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 large eggs
4 tablespoons white sugar
1  tablespoon active dry yeast
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ teaspoon salt
1 package (1.1 LB) Extra White Gold bread flour 
How to make?

  • Dissolve sugar in warm water in a large bowl, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam, 5 to 10 minutes.

  • In a stand up mixer with a paddle attachment (yes! not the hook), mix eggs, oil into the yeast mixture. Mix in bread flour and salt.  Knead dough on a until smooth. Place in a well-oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate over night(6-7 hours). 

  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface, shape into la loaf, and place into well-oiled bread loaf pan. 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (185 degrees C).

  • Place a heat proof dish half filled with hot water, inside the oven on a lower shelf.

    Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 7-10 minutes. Then, lower the heat  to 350 Degrees F and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
